How long have you been planning destination weddings?
All of 10 years for sure – and have been planning honeymoons and trips of a lifetime and
adventures for more than 20 !
Why did you choose to become a Destination Wedding Specialist?
It’s very rewarding taking care of every detail for such a special occasion – the bride and
groom have enough on their minds that they don’t need to worry about anything – I take care
of all the fine details
What’s your favourite part of the job?
I suppose one of my favourite parts of this job is experiencing the excitement and build-
up to the joyous event . One of first things I assist with is spreading the news with a “Save
the Date”announcement to determine the attendance and then I can block the space for
the group . It’s amazing how quickly everyone jumps on board and wants to be apart of the
celebration somewhere warm and sunny !
Which destination is your favorite and why?
I LOVE sending newly weds on their honeymoon to Tahiti – they will immediately fall under
the magical spell of the islands of the South Pacific – the most tropical, idyllic, beautiful place I
have ever known.
Tahiti is also THE place for a vow-renewal - so many are doing it now which is great to see.
As for a wedding destination – that’s a tough one as there are so many amazing options out
there . The most popular destination is the Mayan Riviera and it is one of my favourites since
there are nonstop flights from here and so many fabulous and new 5 star all inclusive resorts
to choose from and we work with all of them so depending on the size of the wedding and if
there are families with children, there are always great quality resorts to choose from and
something for everyone.
Do you have a wedding story you’d like to share with us?
Having recently been re-married late last year and having first had experience in destination wedding
planning helped me plan the perfect honeymoon in beautiful Kauai leaving no stone unturned ! I
planned golfing , a helicopter tour, adventure boating up the Kahala Coast and of course time to just
sip and dip and enjoy !
