How long have you been planning destination weddings?
Two and a half years.
Why did you choose to become a Destination Wedding Specialist?
There is nothing more magical, electrifying and exciting than a wedding on the horizon. Add the excitement of an upcoming trip and you have an event that you will never forget. Being a part of the Bride & Groom’s special day is an honor and a rewarding experience every time.
What’s your favorite part of the job?
My favorite part of the job is speaking with the Bride & Groom, as well as their guests, hearing their stories, how they all met, how they know each other and feeling the excitement of the upcoming union from start to finish.
Which destination is your favorite and why?
Asking a travel agent what their favorite destination is, is like asking a child in a candy store what their favorite candy is. There are so many!!! I love Ireland for the romance and history. I love Jamaica for the people, the variety of things to do and the beautiful beaches. I love Aruba for the Divi Divi Trees, the Caribbean Sands with caves, hieroglyphics and 4 X 4ing on the windward side of the island. Cuba, Hawaii, Mexico, Spain, Turkey, France… every place has a little something special for everyone.
Do you have any quick tips for us?
Choose a property and destination for you and your fiancé! This is your special day and you want it to be memorable and magical. Try not to chose something lower than your standards to bring down costs just so more guests can come. This is your wedding day and you want it to be everything you ever dreamed of.
