How long have you been planning destination weddings?
Since 2000, I have had the opportunity to plan Weddings in a number of places including The Caribbean, Hawaii, Florida, Vancouver and aboard Cruise Ships.
Why did you choose to become a Destination Wedding Specialist?
Being a Destination Wedding Specialist makes use of my 20 years of extensive knowledge and experience in Event Planning, in the Hotel and Cruise Industry. I lived in the Tropics during this time and helped many guests plan their “most special day” with utmost satisfaction. It’s very rewarding to exceed their expectations.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Being able to help plan a worry-free and hassle-free wedding giving the bride and groom the opportunity to relax and focus on one another, as they start a new chapter in their lives.
Which destination is your favourite & why?
It’s like asking which child is my favourite! I love all the wonderful destinations for different reasons, each and everyone of them have something very special to offer.
Do you have a wedding story you would like to share with us?
One of my bride and grooms had hired a family member as their professional photographer. This family member was unfamiliar with the ‘Trash-the-dress’ concept and it appeared he hadn’t been told about it because he almost passed out when he witnessed the bride and groom destroy the wedding dress. Fortunately, other family members were at hand to advise him what was going on, however, he hadn’t taken any photos of that particular event as he was so stunned by it. So they just have his priceless expression for a memory.
Do you have any quick tips for us?
Let your Wedding Specialist do all the worrying for you. Just enjoy your special day, the memories of that day will be with you forever.
