How long have you been planning destination weddings?
The first wedding that I planned was so exciting! A long-time client of mine called me to say that he had just proposed and wanted me to plan a romantic wedding, “somewhere South”. When I asked when he was thinking of tying the knot, his reply was “soon”. “How soon?” I inquired. Well the arrangements were made and the happy couple were on a plane within two days and married at the Sandals Royal Bahamian on March 7th 2004. Since then, I have been blessed and delighted to assists brides and their bridal parties from across Canada in making their wedding dreams a perfect reality.
Why did you choose to become a Destination Wedding Specialist?
Being a Wedding Specialist, means making a couples dream become reality. A perfect wedding means paying attention to detail and knowing the perfect options and solutions. Knowing intuitively what the bride and groom desires are. It also means being super organized, patient and enthusiastic. This is what I truly enjoy!
What’s your favorite part of the job?
I love the receiving the wedding pictures. It’s almost like being there, knowing that everything went perfectly!
Which destination is your favorite and why?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and each destination is unique and spectacular in its own way.
What’s the most exotic location that you’ve planned a wedding in?
I once arranged a wedding at Blue Beard’s Castle on the Island of St. Thomas – amazing wedding photos!
