How long have you been planning destination weddings?
I have been planning destination weddings since their inception as young couples moved away from the "traditional" wedding day, with more and more couples are saying "I do" in the most exotic and romantic locales all over the world.
Why did you choose to become a Destination Wedding Specialist?
I love being a part of such an exciting time in someone's lives. Being a travel agent for 28 years has given me the opportunity to watch couples marry, go on their honeymoon and before you know it, I'm booking them to Disney® with their new family! It's wonderful watching families grow!
What’s your favorite part of the job?
Making dreams come true. Finding that destination that fulfills their expectations and somtimes even exceeds them!
Which destination is your favorite and why?
The world is full of beautiful places but there's somthing about Italy and Hawaii that have a piece of my heart. They are both such romantic destinations and yet so very different. Venice is like nowhere else on earth and Hawaii is a destination that can be as busy or laid back as you could ever want with some of the most tropical resorts.
Do you have a story you’d like to share with us?
I was re-married 2 years ago and 2nd time around we had the opportunity to take our 4 children on our "familymoon" and celebrate the union of 2 blended families on a Caribbean cruise. Having first-hand experience in the wedding/honeymoon planning certainly helps me understand what is important on your special day!
