Anguilla

Wedding Requirements

If you plan on getting married on the island of Anguilla, you will need the following:
1. Couples must obtain a license application from the Judicial Department which is open weekdays from 8:30am to 4:00pm.
2. The couple must provide proof of identity (i.e. valid passport).
3. If either of the couple is divorced, the original decree must be presented.
4. If either of the couple is widowed, a copy of the deceased spouse’s death certificate must be presented.
5. The couple must purchase a Marriage License at a cost of $284US (including stamp duty) if one part of the couple has been on the island for less than 15 days, or $40US if the stay is longer.  At least 48 hours is required to process the license application.
6. Two witnesses must be present during the wedding ceremony.
